What a day! We packed in quite a bit so far today and its only 3pm! We had a nice breakfast, I actually cooked instead of cold cereal. Then we went and picked up my friend Rebecca and her son Tanner and we all went to the Children's fair at Loma Linda Hospital. It was a lot of fun and the kids got lots of goodies. They got teddy bears, fireman hats, bubbles, candy's, they got a cast put on their fingers just to see what it was like, they got free jamba juice, they got to see snakes and hear about how snake bites are treated, they got tooth brushes, they got to go into a trailer and the firemen told them what to do in a fire and there was smoke in there and the kids got to go out the window like they may have to if there were an actual fire, and probably a lot more stuff I am forgetting. The only unfortunate thing was I parked in the parking garage and got a ticket because I wasn't suppossed to =/ oh well. At least everything at the event was free.
After that we took Rebecca and Tanner home and we ate lunch then went to Mentone for a field trip at Greenspot Farm. The farm was really cute. They have a pumpkin patch and grow Christmas trees. They also grow avocados, oranges, peaches, and farm bees. We got to see a "bee house" It was a bee hive behind glass and the kids could see how the bees worked together and hear all about the queen bees and "daddy bees", and worker bees. Then the kids got to taste honey directly from the source and I swear it tasted much better than the stuff in the store. They got a coloring book about bees to take home and made a bees wax candle to take home as well. Then we got a tractor tour of the farm which was really neat. The farm is built into the hills so we got to go up into the hills some and see a really nice view. Then we got to taste the oranges they grow there and they were soooo good. Very sweet and refreshing. I got to buy a bag for $3 to bring home. After the tractor tour the kids got to see the animals on the farm and then went into a tree maze. After that the kids got to go play in a bounce house. It was a neat field trip. The field trip only cost $7 for Elijah and me and Daniel were free. The homeschool group finds the best field trips!

Sounds like a REALLY fun day! I can't wait to go to the Loma Linda Hospital Fair next year, when Esther would appreciate. But SO glad you and Rebecca had a great time! Love days like that. ~ Kin
