Its all my fault
Have you ever experienced the type of luck where if you go get your car washed it will surely rain within 24 hours? Its a standing joke in our family if its raining we can track down someone who just got their car washed and that makes it their "fault" that its raining. I love the rain and I'm ecstatic to have cooler weather but its odd because just a few days ago we had record breaking heat and it was so hot I could barely stand to drive to the grocery store. So as you know from my previoous blog we have been having work done on the house all this week. The door to nowhere is now a wall, the hole in the side of the house is now a solid wall, the eave that was water damaged is now replaced and re-roofed, the house has been scraped, sanded, and power-washed. So yesterday was the day the actual painting was scheduled to start. The base color was going to be sprayed on yesterday and all the trim was going to be done today so what happened? Extreme weather happened which is very unusual for our area. We had thunder storms, hail, wind, rain, rain, rain and even tornados! There was just a 10% chance of mild rain forecast yesterday. So yeah I figure this crazy weather is all my fault because we got the house washed and were ready to paint, hahaha. Its still raining today so I guess the painting wont be getting started today either. The weather report for tomorrow says rain is possible tomorrow too. Crazy! Did you see the pictures of the tornados that touched down in Moreno Valley and Riverside? It looked like something out of tornado alley in the midwest. Really crazy!! I just thank God that no one was seriously hurt and property damage didn't seem that bad.

I liked that door to nowhere, it added soooooo much character to your house. Oh, well, I know it will be great to get it all fixed up and painted. So what did you do today? We had pounding rain and the kids had a story about rain in their reading books and the vocabulary rain was "pelting". So they actually got to experience pelting, dreary weather. They loved it!
