Church shootings in Colorado - 2 sisters were killed Sunday as they went to church with their dad to worship the lord. So, so sad but at least we all know where they are now. Kudos to the security guard that saved 100s by killing the shooter. We have already had to consider armed guards and metal detectors in our schools, so do we now need to worry about the same protection at our churches?

Vick gets 23 months - I have no love for people that torture animals or treat them badly in any way but I have to wonder how many people that hurt actual people got lighter sentences?

Oprah gets 30,000 people to come to Obama rally - I wonder if those people really cared about Obama or politics at all? I heard many of them left after Oprah spoke and before Obama spoke. Maybe Oprah should run.

The Golden Compass movie - It opened this weekend and was #1 at the box office in spite of Christians asking people to avoid seeing the movie as the author of the series it is based on is anti-God and actually kills God in the last book. I heard he was quoted as saying that he can't actually kill God but he can kill God in the hearts and minds of children. It doesn't surprise me that the movie opened up as #1 but it does make me sad. I wish more people cared about what influences their entertainment especially the entertainment of children. I'm glad I didn't see it and I am glad that my son prays.

Evil exists in the world today and thrives because the good people in the world let it.
