party wrap-up

Well the party went ok. People said they enjoyed it. We collected a lot of baby stuff to donate to the pregnancy counseling center which was really nice. I found a recipe for Christmas Ornaments that I like.

4 cups flour
1 cup salt
1 1/2 cup water

mix it into dough then roll it out and use cookie cutters to make shapes or form shapes free-hand Bake in oven at 350 for 30 minutes or until golden. Then paint and spray with clear acrylic to seal. I used washable paint and that seemed to go over well. No big messes, but still looked nice.

I had all the kids make ornaments and it went fairly well. I never did a formal count of the kids but I think there were around 50-60. They also made greeting cards to give to the residents of a convalescent home that we will be caroling at on the 18th.

People brought games but no one played any of them. I'm not too sure why. The party wrapped up earlier than planned so I think some other activities may have been needed since they didn't want to play games.

Today I have a headache that I'm trying to get rid of. I've had it all night so I didn't sleep much. I think its a sinus headache. It hurts on one side of my face. So thats all for now.
