I am so tired! We have obviously been really busy, and its not easy taking on the responsibility of a teenager. Doug and I had an argument last night about housework so that was emotionally draining. I hate arguing. I feel like I have been trying so hard to get things organized around here and take care of the schooling needs for the boys and attend to Daniel who is still nursing so I have to stop everything to attend to him when he needs it. The house is looking better than ever right now and Andrew helps with the chores so I couldn't understand why Doug was so irritated with the way the house looked last night. Plus he didn't like what I made for dinner even though me and Andrew thought it was good, so that made me feel bad. It was chicken and potatoes in a Thai Red Curry sauce that I picked up at Trader Joe's. I cooked it in the crock pot and Doug says he doesn't like chicken in the crock pot so he ate a sandwich. Do you ever feel like you are trying so hard to please people and they don't appreciate it at all?
So enough of the complaining, lets focus on the positive. We loaned our old Camry to a work friend of Doug's last week while his car was getting some work done and he used to sell cars so he offered to try to sell it for us. He put a for sale sign on the car and he got several offers right away. So its being sold today for $1200 which is more than double what I thought we would get out of it. So that's good! My mom has a financial blessing in the works as well. My deceased grandparents' house is being sold and escrow should end later this week so my mom will be getting a check for 1/3 of the sale price minus the fees. They got a low offer but its a cash offer and in this market they were happy to get it and be done.
Andrew is doing well. He is making a few friends which helps. I found out this morning that he is officially accepted into California Virtual Academy and he has a start date which is 09-22-2008! So that's really good news. I know he is bored and getting back officially into school should help. We are going to the LA County Fair this Friday with the home school group so that's something to look forward to. Woohoo!
Ok well I better get going with my day. Hope all of you reading this are well!
