Outside - I'm looking out the window as I type this and just taking in the day. Its beautiful outside right now. There is something about the way the light works in the fall that seems to make colors more vivid to me. The sky is a clear cornflower blue. The trees are still full of life and have a verdant green color. No leaves changing colors here. Its cool outside. We've been wearing sweaters which is so comforting.
Inside - I have A LOT of work to do today. I need to get the kids going on their school work and the house needs a ton of cleaning today. The kitchen is scary, and the living room needs some TLC. Lets not talk about the bathroom. Laundry is overflowing, yikes!
Errands - We have a meeting today with the Education Specialist from Elijah's school. We will be going over all the work we have done for the last month. I already sent her our learning record which documents what we have done and which of the state standards we have met in each subject this past month and she said it looked great so I'm sure the meeting will go fine. I also need to go to the grocery store today.
What I am thinking about - I'm thinking about the plans for the Harvest Party with the Homeschool group. We meet with the group on Thursday and its our last meeting until the party which is the first Thursday in November. I need to get people signed up to bring stuff.
What I am reading - I am reading "The Shack" I am about 3/4 of the way through it and its really good. I will probably blog about it when I am done.
Point to Ponder - Why does a restaurant that has "Family Restaurant" in its name not have a kids menu? We went to a place like that on the way back from Disneyland the other day and it mystified me.
