Forever

Elijah is so cute because he wants everything to stay the way it is right now forever. He is always telling me how happy he is that Andrew is living with us now and he always adds that Andrew is going to stay with us forever. So yesterday this is a conversation we had:

Doug: Andrew isn't going to be here forever, kids grow up and get houses of their own.
Elijah: "Well I'm going to live with you and mommy forever"
Me: Well where is your wife going to live?
Elijah: she is going to live right here with us.
Doug: Don't you think you would like to have a home of your own with your wife and your kids?
(that quieted him down)

a few hours later...
Elijah: I love you mommy
Me: I love you too
Elijah: I want to live here forever.
Me: But is your wife going to want to live here? Isn't she going to want a house of her own with you?
Elijah: No, I'm going to marry you mommy, and we are going to be a family forever!
Me: Well I love you and you are always going to be my family but I'm married to daddy.
Elijah: Well all three of us are going to be married! You, me, and daddy!
Doug (from the other room calls out): Well we can always move to West Virginia
