Proposition 8

Here in California we will be voting on whether or not gay marriage should be legal. I am a Christian and here in this very Christian community I live in, "Vote Yes on 8" signs are everywhere. I have felt very torn on this matter. I am taught as a Christian that homosexuality is wrong and immoral and gay marriage is out of the question. We are also taught that Jesus wants us to hate the sin, but love the sinner. In my life I have known many gay people and I have felt like I don't really have any right to say they shouldn't be together or be married if thats what they want. I believe that homesexuality is a sin but all people are sinful by nature. We all are sinful in one way or another. The sin of homosexuality is no worse than any other sin I have committed. In the past I have felt like it doesn't really hurt me if gay people decide to get married. So like I said I have been torn on what to do in regards to this election. My friend Sandy posted this video on Facebook and it has helped me decide to go ahead and vote yes. Check it out.
