Yay!

I heard from the charter school today that I had applied to for Elijah's Kindergarten. We had been on a wait list but they said today that they have a teacher for Elijah and she will be contacting us in about a month to start preparing for the school year. As you know we will be homeschooling and the charter school gives us a teacher to oversee our progress and will provide curriculum, materials, and a budget for extra-curricular activities. I am so happy this is going to work out!

What charter school are you using?

We are using Sky Mountain Charter school and I think they serve the whole state they give you a budget of $1800 per kid to use via purchase order on supplies, curriculum, and activities such as sports and music lessons from approved vendors and you can get local people added on as vendors. Then you meet with the teacher who comes to your home as needed. Here is their website...

Praise God!!! I am so excited for you. Glad it's going to work out for you! Does that mean no more MOPS though? :(

Kindra - I've been praying about my commitments for next year, and I have pretty much concluded that MOPS will still be on the list but I will have to let go of being a table leader so I can focus more on Elijah's schooling.
