Random thoughts

• I was scrolling through the TV listings to see what was on the other day and paused on MTV to read the description of a show that was on. It was called "Engaged and Underage" I'm assuming given the title of the show that this is about a very young couple about to be married. The show's description elaborated that this particular couple are preparing to wed and how the bride-to-be is a bisexual and has had relations with all the ladies in her bridal party. There is so much wrong with that, but I will just say, "WHAT??" I didn't bother turning it on.

• Ed McMahan from the Tonight Show may be losing his multi-million dollar home to foreclosure. The news reported that his home has been on the market for 2 years but potential buyers have been put-off by all the paparrazi chasing Ed's neighbor Brittany Spears. So now its Brittany's fault?

• In the news... we are having a drought in California so bad the governor is saying we won't have enough water in the future. Why did it seem to me that we had a lot of rain this year? Was he talking about a moral drought?

• On Monday Elijah memorized a bible verse for his Christian karate class. We worked on it a lot together and I am so proud of him for being able to regurgitate it for his Sensei but I am way more proud that the meaning actually seemed to sink in. The next day Elijah was cleaning his room when Doug called to see how our day was going. I put Elijah on the phone and he told Doug how he was cleaning his room and that he wanted to earn a ball for that, but also that he was cleaning his room because he loves God. I had to think about why he was saying that, and then it hit me. Here is the verse he memorized...Whatever your task, put yourself into it, as done for the Lord, and not for your masters. (Colossians 3:23)
