36! How did that happen?

Well I celebrated my birthday on Saturday and yes I am now 36. Aging doesn't bother me but time really seems to be flying by these days. I can't believe it is almost Thanksgiving and Christmas is coming early for us this year as Elijah has his Kids For Christ Choir performance at Church this Sunday and it is their Christmas program. I had him at practice last night and the set is all up and the church is decorated for Christmas. I really love Christmas so I am enjoying celebrating it a bit longer than usual this year. We've actually been singing these Christmas songs since he started rehearsing in August. I almost want to pull out my Christmas tree but I am trying to resist that urge at least until the day after Thanksgiving.

I had a fun birthday weekend for the most part. It started for me on Friday when I went to a Moms Night In (MNI) at a friends house. It was set-up by the Yucaipa Moms meet-up group I am in and it was so much fun. They are such a neat group of ladies and we have so much fun together and I have found so much support and Christian fellowship in that group. We had a potluck and played games and there was some alcohol which I was able to enjoy since my friend was driving. It was a very freeing night away from the kids and everything. My friends sang me happy birthday and we enjoyed a ton of desserts so that was all good!

On Saturday which was my actual birthday my parents came out and we all went to Griffith Observatory which has been on my list to do since they remodeled. It was a good day and we enjoyed the planetarium show and had lunch there. We had a great view of the two largest wildfires that were burning but were not in the smoke so that was interesting to see. When we got home Doug made us a really good steak dinner and we enjoyed a cake he and Elijah had made for me the night before while I was at the MNI. It was soo good!

The next day was Sunday and I was scheduled to work in the nursery at church so off I went but I started feeling increasingly nauseous. It felt like morning sickness at first and I started worrying that more was going on. When I got home I just felt miserable and soon was throwing up and it went on all day. I found out later some of my friends got sick too. Some kind of virus. I was better by the next day. Last night though Daniel starting throwing up and he is still sick poor little guy. He and I were up all night. No fun! So I rang in my birthday weekend with some fun, some good friends, some nice family time, some vomit, and no sleep. I guess that pretty much sums up how my mid-30s are going. I am blessed! Hope you all are well, don't let the flu get you!

I love the pictures!!! I can't believe you got a good one of Andrew smiling. Elijah and Daniel always smile.

You can't believe you are 36! How do you think I feel? It seems no time at all that you were a tiny baby and I was soooooo happy to finally have you. I remember, I was all smiles. Time really just flies the older you get.
