Daniel is talking! His first word? Doug! I am really surprised. At first when he was saying it I just decided he was just saying sounds and didn't mean anything but he is deliberately saying Doug. It started a few days ago. Doug left early in the morning for work and I was really tired and so he put the baby in the crib and put a toy in there for him and left. As soon as Doug left Daniel was standing up in his crib calling, "Doug, Doug, Doug, Da, Da, Da." He kept it up for awhile but poor Doug had left and missed it. He has done it a few times since then but this morning Daniel was the first to wake up and again he just started calling out, "Doug, Doug, Doug" all while patting Doug since Daniel had been sleeping between us. He has said, "Ma, Ma, Ma, Ma" as well. He started that awhile ago but I hadn't really thought he was trying to call me I thought he was just saying the sound. Now I thing he really knows I am Mama =)
It took forever for Elijah to say anything and he didn't call me mama, mom, or anything until he was I think over two years old. So this is very exciting. Daniel is 11 months.
