Well I feel bad it took me so long to update after my craptastic blog. We are doing better. I don't have any new information about the lead situation. I am still waiting on Elijah's results. My results came back negative. So hopefully Elijah's won't be anything to worry about as well. I'm feeling better about the situation in general.
We got to go on vacation! We went to Las Vegas and we were there from Thursday - Sunday. Doug went to a convention for online Sony games called Fanfaire. He plays Everquest II which is a Sony game. He had a good time going to events at the convention and my mom and nephew came and stayed in the room next to ours so we all got to hang out and be tourists. We stayed at the Orleans Hotel and Casino which is off the strip and was very family friendly. There was a huge bowling alley in the hotel as well as a 16 screen movie theatre, and arcade. There was also a really nice pool and kiddie pool and spa. We went to the M&M World and saw the lions at the MGM Grand. We also went to Circus Circus but that was not too fun. it was extremely crowded and not the way I remembered it being when my sister and I played there as kids. The best way I can describe it now is to say it was ghetto. We won't go back. Everything else was fun and lots of fun for the kids. We really liked our hotel room it was very nice for the price. My mom and I got to get out without the kids one night and we went and saw Phantom at the Venetian. Phantom of The Opera is one of my favorite movies so I was really excited to see it. It was a good production I liked all the actors and their singing ability except for the actual Phantom. He was kind of a let down for me. Less masculine than I was expecting and he wore a kind of Zorro style hat and cape through much of the production which obscured the look of the Phantom mask you expect and was distracting for me. I much preferred Gerard Butler's performance as the Phantom in the movie although I know a lot of people didn't like him in that role. The theatre was awesome it was a replica of the theatre you see in the movie. I'm so glad we got to go.
I must say I officially hate my camera! There were so many cute photo opportunities and I couldn't get my stupid camera to work. So I need to get a new one. It makes me sad to think of all the missed photo opportunities I've had over the past year because my camera which is a digital Kodak Easyshot, will only turn on when it feels like it. So I'd like to get another kind of digital camera. If you all could let me know what has worked well for you I would great appreciate it.
So today we have one week left before school officially starts for us. I get to go pick-up some of the stuff I ordered through the charter school today which is exciting. I hope everyone is well!
