Hello? Anyone out there?

Well my friend Janice has a blog on here that I've been enjoying reading and I have blogged a bit on MySpace but I thought this might be more user friendly for the many people in my life that aren't on MySpace yet. If you read my blogs kudos to you I included ramblings in the name of this blog for a reason and I hope they don't put you to sleep.

Today is Friday in what has been a long week at home. Everyone has seen the many fires in Southern California which started on Saturday or Sunday and are still burning today although there has been a lot of progress made Thank God. The smoke here the last couple of days has been pretty strong. I've had to keep Elijah indoors all week due to the poor air quality and he is going stir crazy. The smoke has wreacked havoc with my sinuses but hey at least we have a home and have had the stability this week of not needing to be evacuated like so many other people.

One of my big struggles right now is making financial ends meet. I quit a pretty good career a year and half ago to stay home with my son and being a stay at home mom has been the best job I've ever had but sure doesn't pay a lot in cold hard cash. I went to a Lia Sophia jewelry party last night and I had the baby with me in a carrier which I made and I got a lot of compliments on it and one person asked me to make her one and insisted she pay me to do so. Another friend of mine that was there offered to sell them at an Arts and Crafts boutique that she will have a table at. I am wondering if I have stumbled upon a larger opportunity here. We shall see. The needle on my sewing machine broke in half so I guess I will have to see if I can fix that before I decide to open my sweat shop (hehehe) Yes I crack myself up.

So anyway I am enjoying a calm moment right now before I need to start dinner. Doug shuld be home from work in about an hour and baby Daniel is asleep. He is growing up so fast. He is already 6 months old and sitting up. I put him on a sea-saw today with Elijah and he actually held on and enjoyed rocking with Elijah. Elijah is currently occupying himself in his room. I'm hearing pretend roars and now the sound of him trampling down the hallway. Now he is in here asking me to be a dinosaur with him so I guess I will end this. I will try to post something here daily. Feel free to subscribe to my blog. Its not hard to to get an account so you can leave me comments.

Well thats all for now, tune in later for more ramblings.

Love Joanna

Good for you Joanna...Now I know what a Blog is...always wondered.

The baby carrier sounds like a great idea..hope it goes over well.

San Diego has been very smokey...it is clearer today, and it was good to get out and walk.

Take care.
